Canada Bay Community Choir

About us

The Canada Bay Community Choir welcomes singers across a range of musical knowledge and singing abilities. CBCC has regular practice sessions in the evening and has occasional separate activities during the daytime.

CBCC is a non-auditioning choir of around 30 male and female members with a wide range of ages. Membership is  drawn mostly from within and around the City of Canada Bay.  The choir is led by a professional director, Kathryn Zerk. The repertoire reflects the interests and proficiency of the choir members. While the choir is secular, music that is religious in nature may form part of the repertoire.

The Council of the City of Canada Bay has provided the Choir with a grant under the Community Grants Scheme. This grant will underwrite the Choir's concession scheme. As a community choir, one of our goals is to ensure that everyone, irrespective of their financial means, who wants to sing is able to. We thank the Council for their valuable support which will help ensure that this goal is achieved.

In 2014 the choir received a grant to purchase music recording equipment. View a photo of the choir receiving a cheque.
